Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday called on all the 21 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies to boost win-win cooperation in pursuit of common prosperity.

Xi made the remarks at the 23rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in the capital city of the Philippines, themed "Building Inclusive Economies, Building a Better World."

"The Asia-Pacific region is still the locomotive driving the world economy," Xi said at the meeting, acknowledging current challenges faced by the region as well as the whole world.

The Chinese president arrived in Manila on Tuesday to attend the APEC meeting.
