Dollar changes hands in mid-123 yen range in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-123 yen zone in Tokyo early Thursday, slightly lower than its overnight levels in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 123.50-51 yen compared with 123.59-69 yen in New York and 123.29-31 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The euro fetched 1.0671-0672 dollars and 131.79-81 yen against 1.0654-0664 dollars and 131.74-84 yen in New York and 1.0650-0651 dollars and 131.31-35 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon. Endit
