Danish police raises alert level after Paris attacks

Xinhua, November 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Danish police confirmed on Wednesday they have increased their internal alert levels after the Paris attacks.

Police across the country are in a so-called "markedly heightened level of preparedness," according to a police press release.

The Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) will maintain the assessment of the terror threat against Denmark as "serious", according to the press release. The upgrade in the alert level was due to uncertain situation in several European countries, it adds.

The elevated alert will however only impact the preparedness of the police, and residents will not notice any changes in daily life, police said. Enditem
