Dollar changes hands in mid-123 yen zone in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-123 yen zone in Tokyo early Wednesday, almost unchanged from its overnight levels in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 123.43-44 yen compared with 123.39-49 yen in New York and 123.27-28 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The euro fetched 1.0643 dollars and 131.37-38 yen against 1.0638-0648 dollars and 131.30-40 yen in New York and 1.0654-0655 dollars and 131.33-37 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon. Endit
