Madagascar expresses dismay and sympathy following Paris attacks

Madagascan President Hery Rajaonarimampianina, on behalf of the Malagasy people, has expressed dismay and sympathy following last Friday's terrorist attacks in the French capital, a statement released on Monday from the presidency said.
In the statement, the president sent his condolences to the families of the victims and wished those injured quick recovery.
Beatrice Attalah, Madagascar's Foreign Minister, equally wrote a condolence message to her French counterpart Laurent Fabius.
The minister equally asked the Madagascan Embassy in Paris to inquire from French authorities if there was any Madagascan victim in the attacks.
"The Madagascan government would wish to reiterate its willingness to continue collaborating with the international community in the efforts to bring peace across the world," the statement concluded.
An inter-denominational mass was held on Monday in Antananarivo to remember the victims of Paris terrorist attacks. Endit
