Russia-China cooperation in agriculture a priority: Russian minister

Russia-China cooperation in agriculture was a priority direction, a Russian official has said.

There was a potential in the Far East agricultural projects initiated recently by Russian and foreign investors, Russian Minister of the Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Galushka was quoted by a Russian government website as saying on Monday.

These projects involving a total of 206 billion rubles (3.1 billion U.S. dollars) are specialized in pig breeding, farming, vegetable growing and others, said Galushka.

Glaushka also said that Russia and China are negotiating to create a Russian-Chinese agricultural development fund of 3 billion dollars to help provide Asia-Pacific countries with agricultural products of the Russian Far East market. Endi
