The 10th summit of the Group of Twenty (G20) major economies started here Sunday, with Chinese President Xi Jinping joining other world leaders in seeking ways to promote global economic growth.
During the two-day meeting, Xi, the helmsman of the world's second-largest economy, is expected to share his views on boosting the sluggish global growth and enhancing global economic governance.
The Chinese president and other G20 leaders will discuss development and climate change at a working luncheon before they delve into such subjects as global economy, growth strategies, employment and investment strategies at the first session of the summit.
On Monday, they will continue discussions and focus on financial regulation, international tax, anti-corruption and International Monetary Fund reform at the second session.
The Antalya leaders' meeting will conclude with a presentation by Xi, whose country holds the rotating G20 presidency in 2016.
Besides the G20 summit, whose priorities Turkey places at inclusiveness, implementation and investment, Xi's schedule also includes a meeting with other leaders of the emerging-market bloc of BRICS -- Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa -- and talks with other foreign leaders.
The G20, a main forum for global economic and financial cooperation, accounts for around 85 percent of global GDP, 80 percent of world trade, and two-thirds of the human population. Endi
