Four Turkish police wounded in operation on IS cell house

Xinhua, November 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

Four Turkish police officers were wounded late Saturday when an Islamic State (IS) suicide bomber exploded in southern Turkey, private Dogan News Agency reported on Sunday.

The IS militant exploded himself during the police raid on a cell house of the group in Gaziantep province as police caught one fleeing insurgent, said the report.

The police raid came over an investigation regarding twin suicide bombings in capital Ankara on Oct. 10 which killed 102 people and injured hundreds.

An IS militant had links with Ankara bombing and launched the operation when he entered a house in Gaziantep, said the report.

One of the bombers in the Ankara blasts was identified as an IS member whose brother conducted a suicide attack in July in Suruc, a town near the Syrian border. Endit
