India beefs up security at vital installations, foreign missions

Xinhua, November 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

India has beefed up security at vital locations, including airports, railways stations, religious venues and all foreign missions, in the wake of the deadly terror attacks in France, sources said Sunday.

"India is on high alert. Security has been tightened at all airports, railway stations, key religious places, bus stands and other vital installations," the sources said.

"All state governments have also been asked to ensure full-proof security at all foreign consulates and all embassies in the Indian capital have been accorded maximum security. Delhi Police and other security agencies are on their toes," the sources said.

Nearly 130 people were killed and more than 350 others injured in a series of coordinated terror attacks in Paris Friday night. Endit
