Bratislava Castle to be lit up in French Tricolore to support Paris

The Bratislava Castle is to be lit in the colours of the French national flag on Saturday night in a show of solidarity with French people, Slovak Parliamentary Chairman Peter Pellegrini announced on Saturday in the wake of terror attacks perpetrated in Paris.

France is a cradle of liberty, equality and fraternity, and I extend my sympathies over the dozens of people who were killed in the attacks. Such acts need to be condemned and must be prevented from occurring again," added Pellegrini.

The Presidential Palace also reacted with a gesture in the wake of the tragic events.

"All flags on the Presidential Palace's front courtyard have been flying at half mast to show solidarity with French after terrorist attacks in Paris," said Martin Liptak from the Slovak President Office's press department. Endit
