S.Korea sends condolences to France for inhumane terror attacks

South Korean President Park Geun-hye sent condolences Saturday to French President Francois Holland, whose country was shocked by a series of "inhumane" terrorist attacks that had killed scores of innocent citizens.

At least six terrorist attacks throughout Paris, including shootings and suicide bombings, had reportedly killed at least 120 people and heavily wounded about 80 others.

Before heading for Turkey to take part in the G20 summit, Park said in her condolences that she was considerably shocked by the sad news that simultaneous multiple terrorist attacks caused a number of casualties, according to her office.

Park expressed deep condolences over innocent victims and their bereaved families, hoping for a rapid recovery of the injured.

"Terror attacks are an uncivilized, inhumane act of crime that cannot be justified and tolerated in any case," Park said.

Park described the terrorist attacks as "an act of offense against an international society as well as France," saying that South Korea will actively participate in the international society's efforts to eradicate terrorist threats. Enditem
