Xinhua, November 14, 2015 Adjust font size:

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani cancelled his scheduled visit to France following Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris, official IRNA news agency reported on Saturday quoting Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif as saying.

"Due to the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, the travel of president to three European countries of France, Italy and Vatican was postponed to another date," Zarif said.

At the invitation of French President Francois Hollande, Rouhani was to pay a state visit to the French capital on Nov. 17, making him the first Iranian leader to visit the country since 1999.

The France incident has provided an opportunity for an international coordination and cooperation against terrorism, the Iranian foreign minister added. Endit
