British FTSE 100 slides 0.98 pct on Friday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, slid 0.98 percent, or 60.40 points, to 6,118.28 points on Friday.

The share price of Anglo American PLC increased by 1.40 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. CRH, Intertek Group, GKN, Randgold Resources rose by 1.37 percent, 0.79 percent, 0.75 percent, and 0.71 percent respectively.

Rolls-Royce Holdings led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.29 percent, followed by G4S (3.64 percent), Aberdeen Asset Management (3.46 percent), Burberry Group (3.43 percent), and Kingfisher (3.23 percent). Endit
