Two Inner Mongolia officials under investigation

Two officials from Inner Mongolia are being investigated on suspicion of taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said on Friday.

The two suspects are Xue Peiming, former vice mayor of Ulanqab in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Xiao Wanshou, vice chairman of Ulanqab municipal committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

The procuratorate of Inner Mongolia decided to investigate both on suspicion of taking bribes.

Both of them have been placed under "coercive measures," which include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest. Endi
