Uganda set off for 2016 Olympic Games rugby qualifier

Uganda will open their 2016 Olympic Games qualifying campaign for rugby with a game against Zambia on Saturday as the team left on Thursday for Johannesburg, South Africa.
"It will not be an easy tournament, but we are ready for action and will do our best," Team Manager Mike Wandera told Xinhua before departure.
Uganda will take on Nigeria and Zimbabwe later in Group B games.
Head coach Tolbert Onyango explained that he has drilled the 12 players well and they are ready for action.
"Winning our first game will be very important to give us momentum," added the Kenyan born coach.
The Ugandan team will be captained by Michael Wokorach. The two day event attracts 12 teams.
Kenya are in Pool A alongside Namibia, Senegal and Madagascar.
Pool C has Morocco, Nigeria, Mauritius and Botswana.
The winning team at the tournament will qualify for the Olympics to be held in Rio de Janeiro in the summer of 2016.
South Africa already qualified for the Olympics by finishing second in the 2014/15 Sevens World Series. Endit
