DR Congo beats Burundi 3-2 in 2008 World Cup qualifiers first leg game

Democratic Republic of Congo's Leopards Thursday afternoon beat Burundi's Intamba mu Rugamba soccer team 3-2 in the first leg game here in qualifiers for 2018 of the World Cup due in Russia.
The game was watched by several fans from both neighboring countries at Prince Louis Rwagasore stadium.
DR Congo had the better of the game early when Yannick Bolasie scored the first goal five minutes into the match.
Cedric Amissi equaled on 1-1 in the 38th minute before he put Burundi ahead 2-1 with seven minutes left in the game.
Burundi was almost ready to celebrate its victory, but Nbombe Mubele's pair in two minutes (86th, 88th) turned the table around for DR Congo.
The return leg game is due in the Congolese capital Kinshasa on Sunday. Endit
