Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao on Wednesday called on young people from China and Nordic countries to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship.

Li was addressing the first Sino-Nordic Young Champions Forum in Yiwu, in eastern China's Zhejiang province on Wednesday. The event attracted more than 300 young people and business representatives from China and Nordic countries - Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden along with their autonomous regions, the Aland Islands, Faroe Islands and Greenland.

"Global industrial transformation, coupled with scientific and internet progress, has offered opportunities for young people to innovate and start businesses," Li said.

Describing young people as "pioneers of innovation and entrepreneurship", Li called on the forum participants to promote cooperation between China and Europe. Endi
