Massive rally in Kabul to condemn beheading of civilians by militants

Xinhua, November 11, 2015 Adjust font size:

Thousands of people staged a massive demonstration in Kabul on Wednesday condemning the barbaric beheading of seven civilians by militants in the southern Afghan province of Zabul last Saturday.

The seven civilians - four men, two women and a child - were kidnapped from Gilan District of eastern Ghazni province one month ago and their remains were found in Khak-e-Afghan district of neighboring Zabul province on Saturday.

Both the locals and officials accused militants loyal to the Islamic State outfit or Daesh of beheading the abductees.

Neither Taliban nor Daesh has claimed responsibility for the brutal act.

Chanting slogans "Death to Taliban," "Death to Daesh," the protestors, including men and women from all walks of life, demanded the government bring to justice the perpetrators as soon as possible. Enditem
