1st Ld-Writethru: Myanmar announces 394 elected parliament representatives up to Wednesday morning

Myanmar's Union Election Commission (UEC) announced 394 elected parliament representatives to three levels of the parliament as a combined result of Sunday's general election as of Wednesday morning.

Of the 394 representatives, 149 are elected to the Houses of Representatives (Lower House), 33 to the House of Nationalities (Upper House) and 212 to the Region or State Parliament.

Of the 149 elected to the House of Representatives, 134 are dominated by the opposition National League for Democracy (NLD), while the ruling Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) takes eight.

Of the 33 elected to the House of Nationalities, NLD dominates 29, while USDP shares two.

Of the 212 elected to the Region or State Parliament, NLD occupies 182, while USDP 19.

Up to now, the NLD has secured a total of 345 seats in three levels of the parliament including 134 in the House of Representatives, 29 in the House of Nationalities and 182 in the Region or State Parliament.

The USDP held 29 seats in the parliament, shared by eight in the House of Representatives, two in the House of Nationalities and 19 in the Region or State parliament. Endit
