Private jet crashes in Ohio, killing at least 2

At least two people were killed after a private jet crashed Tuesday afternoon in Akron, Ohio, local media said.

Citing officials from the local police and fire department, the TV network CBS News reported that the pilot and co-pilot were dead in the incident which happened around 3 p.m. local time.

According to Ohio Highway Patrol, the plane clipped a telephone wire before hitting an apartment building and then crashing into an embankment behind that building.

No injuries or deaths were reported on the ground, said the authorities.

Authorities were still trying to determine how many people were on board. However, local news website Ohio.com reported that the owner of the crashed phane said nine people were on board. Enditem
