French stock market index up 0.02 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 finished the trading day with a slight advance of 0.02 percent to close at 4,912.16 points on Tuesday, up 0.99 points.

Thanks to the low Euro-Dollar exchange rate and the rebound of the petroleum price, the CAC 40 of Paris still closed slightly higher on Monday with 20 of the 40 selected stocks gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Tuesday were Orange, up 1.83 percent, Veolia Environnement, up 1.31 percent, and Kering, up 1.03 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Tuesday were ArcelorMittal, down 3.34 percent, Alcatel-Lucent, down 2.25 percent, and EDF, down 2.13 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 1.46 percent to close at 4,911.17 points, down 72.98 points. Endit
