Nepal congratulates Myanmar on successful holding of general elections

Nepal congratulated the government of Myanmar and the people for the successful conclusion of the general elections with the overwhelming participation of the people, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said here on Tuesday.

The ministry said in a press release that the Nepali government and people are happy over this historic democratic exercise.

"The government of Nepal believes that the bond of friendship between the peoples and the governments of the two countries based on mutual trust, goodwill and understanding will be further strengthened in the days ahead," read the press release.

Myanmar's Union Election Commission (UEC) on Tuesday announced 125 more elected parliament representatives to the House of Representatives and regional or state parliament as part of the second day election result. Endit
