French stock market index down 1.46 pct on Monday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 finished the trading day with a decrease of 1.46 percent to close at 4,911.17 points on Monday, down 72.98 points.

With investors worrying about world economic growth of this year, the CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Monday with 36 of the 40 selected stocks experiencing decreases.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Monday were Renault, down 3.51 percent, Sanofi, down 3.18 percent, and Accor, down 2.85 percent.

The top three gainers on Monday were ArcelorMittal, up 0.70 percent, Alstom, up 0.69 percent, and Technip, up 0.17 percent.

Credit Agricole stayed the same as previous trading day.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with an advance of 0.08 percent to close at 4,984.15 points, up 4.11 points. Enditem
