Xinhua, November 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least 5 people were killed and several others were injured Monday in two suicide bomb blasts in Cameroon's Far North Region, an army source told Xinhua.

The explosions, which took place in Fotokol town, were believed to be a terrorist act carried out by Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram.

The source told Xinhua by phone that two girls blew themselves up around 13:00 local time near a mosque in Fotokol, where a similar attack took place on July 12, leaving at least 14 people killed.

The source said the five people who were killed include two suicide bombers and three civilians.

The bomb blasts on Monday bring the number of suicide bomb blasts in Cameroon to nearly 20 in the last four months. Enditem
