Two employees of the Serbian embassy were kidnapped on Sunday in Libya, the Serbian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

The press release reads that communication officer Sladjana Stankovic and a driver named Jovica Stepic were taken in the afternoon in the city of Sabrath, and that the ministry had notified security services in Libya about this.

"Ministry of foreign affairs of Serbia does all in its power to secure as much information possible about the case and the safe return of our citizens in such a complicated situation," the release reads. Endit
