Xinhua, November 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

Myanmar is putting high hopes for national football team which will play their Chinese Hong Kong rivals during a warm-up match at Mong Kok Stadium in Hong Kong on Saturday, sports circle said Friday.

Myanmar's national team is led by head coach German Gerd Friedrich Horst Zeise who has a proven track record that dates back to 2011, when he coached Myanmar's youth team.

Gerd reformed the line-up of Myanmar team with top players from U-20, U-23 and former national team.

The German coach proved his capabilities for Myanmar to perform well during the AFC U-19 Championship in 2015, U-20 World cup in New Zealand earlier this year as well as the 2014 Brunei Invitational Cup in 2014.

Meanwhile, Serbian Rodojko Avramovic assumed responsibility of Myanmar's national team in February last year when Myanmar tallied up seven victories, four draws and 11 losses.  Endi
