China-Belarus industrial park to be centerpiece of bilateral cooperation: Belarusian president

Xinhua, November 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

Industrial Park Great Stone will become a centerpiece of sub-regional cooperation between Belarus and China, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said here on Thursday.

He made the remarks during a meeting with Zhong Shan, China's vice minister of commerce and international trade representative, who is here to attend Friday's Belarusian president's inauguration ceremony.

The cooperation deals agreed by top leaders of the two countries, including the project to build the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, will be fulfilled on time, Lukashenko said, noting that "If we step up efforts we will even complete these ahead of schedule."

He also thanked the Chinese president for the colossal support that China provided for Belarus.

For his part, Zhong said: "My participation in the Belarus president's inauguration ceremony as a special representative of the China president once again testifies to the great attention that President Xi Jinping pays to the Chinese-Belarusian cooperation and strong friendship with you."

The two parties also discussed the implementation of joint projects and cooperation in the financial sector. Endit
