European clubs eye Argentine attacking duo

Xinhua, November 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

Argentine strikers Jonathan Cristaldo and Pablo Mouche are being sought by European clubs ahead of the January transfer window, according to media reports in Brazil.

Cristaldo, 26, has attracted interest in Russia and 28-year-old Mouche is on the radar of teams in Spain and Mexico, Globoesporte reported.

The pair have enjoyed mixed fortunes for Brazilian club Palmeiras this year. Cristaldo is the team's second top scorer with 14 goals while Mouche has been beset by injuries, making just two first-team starts.

Cristaldo joined Palmeiras from Ukraine's Metalist in August 2014 for 3.5 million U.S. dollars. The Brazilian club paid 4 million dollars to sign Mouche from Turkey's Kayserispor two months earlier.

The report said that the final month of Brazil's Serie A season were likely to be a decisive factor in where the players would be next year. Endi
