Deficit in Iceland's balance of trade falls in October

Iceland saw the deficit in its balance of trade in goods decrease to 3.6 billion Icelandic krona (27.9 million U.S. dollars) in October from 6.6 billion Icelandic krona in September, Statistics Iceland said Thursday.

Preliminary figures show the value of exported goods amounted to 46.8 billion krona, while the value of imported goods amounted to 50.4 billion krona in October.

Compared with September, the value of exported goods in October decreased 1 billion krona, while the value of imported goods decreased 4 billion krona. (1 U.S. dollar = 129 Icelandic Krona) Endit
