British FTSE 100 increases 0.34 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday increased by 0.34 percent, or 21.81 points, to 6,383.61 points.

Share price of Meggitt increased by 4.56 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. BP, Glencore, Anglo American and BHP Billiton increased by 3.86 percent, 3.33 percent, 3.23 percent and 3.17 percent respectively.

Tullow Oil led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 17.42 percent, followed by Premier Oil (14.17 percent), Weir Group (6.05 percent), Evraz (5.05 percent) and Stagecoach Group (4.44 percent). Endit
