Macedonia improves in prosperity index ranking

Macedonia has improved its position by four places in the latest Legatum Institute Prosperity Index that ranks Macedonia 66th in the world out of 142 countries, local media reported Tuesday.

In this ranking, Macedonia follows Greece and Bulgaria in the Balkans.

The annual Legatum Prosperity Index ranks 142 countries across eight categories including economy, entrepreneurship and opportunity.

Macedonia scored personal best in areas of health care at 50th in the world, 57th in the area of entrepreneurship and 58th with regard to safety.

Legatum Institute is a London-based international think tank and educational charity focused on promoting prosperity. Enditem
