Chinese president appoints five new ambassadors

Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed five new ambassadors, according to a statement from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Tuesday.

Yao Jing was appointed ambassador to Afghanistan, replacing Deng Xijun.

Huang Ping was appointed ambassador to Zimbabwe, replacing Lin Lin.

Zhang Xun was appointed ambassador to Senegal, replacing Xia Huang, who becomes ambassador to the Republic of Congo, replacing Guan Jian.

Chen Bo was appointed ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, replacing Dong Chunfeng. Endi
