Schalke's team captain Benedikt Hoewedes will be sidelined for the next 10 days due to a metacarpal fracture, the "Royal Blues" confirmed the via the club's official homepage on Sunday.

Schalke's worst fears were confirmed as Benedikt Hoewedes suffered a metacarpal fracture in his right hand following tackle with Lukas Hinterseer at the 72nd minute.
