Brazil striker Pato hints at European return

Xinhua, November 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

Alexandre Pato has admitted he is unlikely to remain in Brazil next year amid reports linking him to European clubs.

The 26-year-old former AC Milan striker has this year scored 26 goals in 57 games for Sao Paulo, where he is in the final two months of a loan deal from Corinthians.

His prolific form has reportedly sparked interest from Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United and West Ham United.

Despite being tied to Corinthians until the end of 2016, the Brazil international indicated a wish to return to Europe in the January transfer window.

"It's difficult to see me staying in Brazil," Pato said after Sao Paulo's 3-0 victory over Sport Recife in Brazil's Serie A on Saturday.

"I don't know what will happen but for now I have to concentrate on doing the best I can for Sao Paulo and leave with my head high." Endi
