Argentinean newspapers were united with praise on Saturday for the "Puma pride" after the Argentinean rugby team finished fourth at the Rugby World Cup in England.
On Friday, Los Pumas lost 24-13 against the South African Springboks in the third-place match-up which took place at London's Olympic Stadium.
"No bronze, but with a lot of rugby," flashed on its front page the La Nacion daily, which praised the "heart and attack" of the Argentinean selection.
"They left a great image...they deserve our praise for their style of play and aggressiveness. They only lost to their rivals in the Rugby Championship: New Zealand, Australia and South Africa," it added.
"The Puma pride was maintained until the end," stated the daily Clarin and added that "in its departure, Argentina showed it has a future".
In a similar line, Pagina 12 stated "a World Cup without bronze, but there for history," while Tiempo Argentino stated that "between the best, Los Pumas finished fourth".
Finally, the sports newspaper Ole emphasized that "the future is here", Cronica shouted that their "tears are worth gold" while Popular stated that "the push by Los Pumas never failed and they finished fourth".
Argentina's best performance at the Rugby World Cup came in France 2007, when they beat the hosts at the same stage to finish third. Endi
