British FTSE 100 increases 1.14 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday increased by 1.14 percent, or 72.53 points, to 6,437.80 points.

Share price of Fresnillo increased by 4.63 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. GlaxoSmithKline, Randgold Resources, BT Group and Hikma Pharmaceuticals increased by 3.88 percent, 3.76 percent, 3.68 percent and 3.28 percent respectively.

Meggitt PLC led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 20.46 percent, followed by Lloyds Banking Group (4.39 percent), Antofagasta (1.47 percent), Rio Tinto (0.72 percent) and easyJet (0.67 percent). Endit
