South Korean President Park Geun-hye and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will hold their first one-on-one summit in Seoul next week on the sidelines of the trilateral leadership meeting with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Seoul's presidential office said Wednesday.

Kim Kyou-Hyun, senior presidential secretary for foreign affairs, told a press briefing that the sixth round of South Korea-China-Japan summit is scheduled to be held on Nov. 1 at the presidential Blue House

It would mark the first trilateral summit in more than three years. The summit between the three Asian nations was initiated in 2008 and had been annually held until 2012.

SYDNEY -- A 23-year-old Somali woman who was allegedly raped 15 weeks ago on Nauru is being transferred to Australia for the second time to discuss her abortion and mental health, Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said Wednesday.

The woman, known as Abyan, was flown to Australia earlier this month for the procedure however she was returned to Nauru five days later for reportedly changing her mind.

WELLINGTON -- New Zealand and China are to strengthen work on protecting environments used by birds that migrate between the two hemispheres, Conservation Minister Maggie Barry said Wednesday.

Barry met with Chinese Ambassador Wang Lutong at Pukorokoro-Miranda, a North Island bird center, Wednesday to discuss his work to secure protection for vital migratory bird wetland habitats in China's Bohai Bay.

Significant progress had been made on protection of the red knot in China, whose migration formed "an ancient and tangible link between New Zealand and China," she said.

JAKARTA -- At least 12 miners are feared dead after an illegal gold mine collapsed in Indonesia's West Java province on Tuesday night, local police said on Wednesday.

Lack of safety was blamed for the incident in Pongor mountainous area of Bantar Karet village in Bogor district, said Udjwala Prana Sigit, head of provincial Public Order Police.
