Singapore stocks close 0.39 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 12.02 points, or 0.39 percent, to close at 3,040.51.

A total of 1.02 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 825.7 million Singapore dollars (591.6 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 207 to 172, while 550 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 30.54 points, or 0.99 percent, to close at 3,052.53 on Tuesday. Enditem
