Several people were injured as a powerful earthquake measuring 7.5 on Richter scale struck parts of Afghanistan including the capital Kabul city at 01:39 p.m. (0909 GMT) on Monday, officials said.

According to locals, several people sustained injuries in Baghlan, Takhar, Jauzjan and Badakhshan provinces, and several houses were destroyed and damaged. Enditem
