15 militants killed in Afghanistan's Helmand province

A total of 15 Taliban militants have been killed during operations in the southern Helmand province voer the past four days, local police said on Sunday.

The operations, which have been launched in Baba Ji, Malgir, Loimanda, Shawal, Sistani and Nahr-e-Saraj areas, would last until lasting peace return to the vicinities.

However, the police didn't say if there were casualties on security personnel.

Taliban militants who are active in parts of Helmand province and have challenged the government over the past couple of years, are yet to make comment. Enditem
