China, Vietnam vow to boost party ties

Chinese and Vietnamese communist parties vowed to further boost ties during a visit of a senior Chinese communist party official to Vietnam on Friday.
Wang Jiarui, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, is touring in Vietnam from Friday to Saturday.
During his visit, Wang met with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh, and Head of the CPV Central Committee's Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Friday.
During the meeting with Wang, Nguyen Phu Trong said after his April visit to China, the two countries have maintained regular exchanges of high-ranking leaders' visits, while the bilateral cooperation has gained positive results.
Vietnam is willing to join hands with China to implement the agreements reached by leaders of the two parties and states, strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries, and promote the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in a healthy, stable and long-term manner, Trong said.
Wang Jiarui said the two parties and states are witnessing positive development momentum when observing the 65th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
China attaches great importance to developing the friendly relations with Vietnam, stands ready to further sharing governance experience, to bridge the respective developing strategies and to expand the pragmatic cooperation in various fields to benefit peoples of both countries, Wang said. Enditem
