The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on Friday expressed concerns on rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in Yemen's southwestern city of Taiz.

In Taiz, on Wednesday, at least 15 civilians, including two children and one woman, were killed and 73 civilians, including 13 children and two women, were injured as a result of indiscriminate shelling by members of the Popular Committees affiliated with the Houthis. (OHCHR-Yemen)

YAOUNDE -- Nine people were beheaded and over 20 kidnapped during an attack by Boko Haram terrorists on Thursday night in Kerawa locality in Cameroon's Far North region, security sources said.

About 20 suspected jihadists riding on motorcycles forced their way into this locality and committed the heinous crimes without any resistance due to the late arrival of security forces on the ground. (Cameroon-Attack)

ABUJA -- At least six lifeless bodies have been evacuated from the scene of an early Friday suicide blast at a mosque in Nigeria's Maiduguri city, capital of the restive northern Borno State, the National Emergency Management Agency said.

The incident occurred early Friday as Muslim faithful gathered for the first congregational prayer of the day at Jidari/Polo area of the state, said a statement by the state-run relief agency. (Nigeria-Mosque-Blast)

ISLAMABAD -- At least six militants were killed and two others were injured when U.S. pilotless aircraft launched a missile strike in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Khyber Agency on Friday, local Urdu media Dawn reported.

The U.S. unmanned aircraft pounded a hideout of suspected militants in Nazyan area of Khyber Agency, a militancy-infested tribal area along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Dawn said on its website. (Pakistan-US-Strike)
