Iceland's wage index records 1.2 pct increase in Sept.

Iceland's wage index reported a month-on-month increase of 1.2 percent in September 2015, according to Statistics Iceland on Thursday.

The figures showed that the wage index in September was 531, an increase of 1.2 percent compared with 524.7 in August. The index takes the wage in December 1988 as base number of 100.

In the past 12 months, the monthly wage index has increased by 8.2 percent.

The real wage index in September was 126.5, an increase of 1.6 percent compared with that of the previous month.

In the past 12 months, the real wage has increased by 6.2 percent. Endit
