Singapore stocks close 0.41 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 12.41 points, or 0.41 percent, to close at 3,038.11.

A total of 1.25 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 680.7 million Singapore dollars (489.7 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 219 to 166, while 550 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 6.67 points, or 0.22 percent, to close at 3,025.70 on Wednesday. Enditem
