Urgent: Gold up on weaker dollar ahead of ECB meeting

Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose on Tuesday as the U.S. dollar weakened against the euro ahead of the European Central Bank(ECB) meeting.

The most active gold contract for December delivery rose 4.70 U.S. dollars, or 0.40 percent, to settle at 1,177.50 dollars per ounce. Endit
