17 Lithuanian citizens have been detained in Europe during large scale operation against suspected luxurious car thefts on Tuesday, according to Lithuanian police.

According to Lithuanian police which has been coordinating the international operation, 17 Lithuanian citizens have been detained and around 100 houses, garages and car trading locations have been raided during the operation which took place in Lithuania and Germany at the same time.

During the raids, officers have found special car ignition equipment, car audio and navigation systems and guns.
