Early voting turnout at 28 pct in Belarus

About 28 percent of voters in Belarus went to presidential polls in the first four days of early voting, the Belarusian Central Election Commission said in a statement.

The early voting will end on Oct. 10, with polling stations open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time. The main voting will take place on Sunday.

The candidates are incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko, Tatyana Korotkevich, activist of the campaign Say the Truth, Nikolai Ulakhovich, supreme ataman of the organization Belarusian Cossacks, and Sergei Gaidukevich, chairman of the Belarusian Liberal Democratic Party. Endi
