Elia Viviani of Team Sky takes lead at Abu Dhabi tour

Italian racing cyclist Elia Vivani of the British Team Sky won here on Friday the 129 kilometer long second leg of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Tour and the overall leading position, United Arab Emirates (UAE) daily The National reported.

Viviani scored with his victory the eighth win for the season. The 26-year-old Italian sprinter told The National he felt new momentum at the end of this season and praised the "excellent support" of his team mates.

Peter Sagan, 25, from Slovakia, who rides with team Tinkoff-Saxo from Russia won the white jersey as the best young cyclist of the stage.

The four-day Abu Dhabi international cycling race in the capital of the UAE which started on Thursday will run through Sunday, October 11. A total of 18 teams are participating. Enditem
