Xinhua, October 9, 2015 Adjust font size:

Cuban President Raul Castro met here Thursday with Slovakian Primer Minister Robert Fico, who is visiting the island nation to boost investment and trade ties, officials said.

"In an atmosphere of cordiality, both leaders verified the positive state of the bilateral relations and exchanged opinions on international issues of common interest," said an official press release.

Fico also held talks with Cuban Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas.

Havana and Bratislava established diplomatic ties in 1993. Since 2012, the two sides have signed several agreements on cooperation in economy, trade, finance, education, culture and sports. Endi
