Myanmar to hold int'l manufacturing expo in Yangon

Myanmar will hold the 2nd international manufacturing machinery, equipment, materials and services exhibition in Yangon this month, the exhibition sources said Friday.

Organized by Singapore Exhibition Service Pte Ltd, the three- day exhibition "Manufacturing Myanmar 2015" will run through Oct. 17.

Nearly 100 exhibitors from over 15 countries and regions including Germany, South Korea, Singapore, China's Taiwan, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Britain are expected to take part in the exhibition which will feature wide varieties of machineries, equipment, technologies and solutions.

About 3,000 trade visitors are expected to be present at the exhibition.

The exhibition will serve as a platform for investors, businessmen and technicians and aims at developing local industrial manufacturing sector with added momentum, according to Dr. Charles Than, vice chairman of Myanmar Engineering Society. Endi
